HERNDON, Va., Aug. 12 (UPI) -- New York-based ITT Corp. has been contracted to support the U.S. Strategic Command with systems and mission support.
ITT was selected, along with five other prime contractors, to support USSTRATCOM with management and professional support services. The contract, awarded by the Air Force, also includes providing analysis, engineering and technical support services for USSTRATCOM under a five-year deal.
The Defense Department's USSTRATCOM is responsible for space, global strike and cyberdefense and deterrence missions, among other operations.
"ITT is pleased to have the opportunity to provide advisory and assistance services to USSTRATCOM," Mike Wilson, ITT advanced engineering and sciences president, said in a statement.
"We look forward to serving USSTRATCOM in support of their key mission areas to help ensure the security of the United States and military operations around the world."
