PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., June 26 (UPI) -- Florida-based Cross Match Technologies Inc. announced plans to launch a new palm biometric identity verification technology.

Cross Match officials are planning to release the new L Scan 500P at the National Sheriffs' Association conference scheduled for June 28 to July 3 in Indianapolis. The L Scan 500P, the first FBI-certified single platen design palm scanner, is an effort to ease the law enforcement booking process with positively matching print identifications.
