LADSON, S.C., Feb. 25 (UPI) -- South Carolina-based mine resistant ambush protected vehicle manufacturer Force Protection Inc. has appointed a new member to its board of directors.
Officials announced that John Paxton has been named to the board of directors in an initiative to incorporate Paxton's range of aerospace and defense experience to the company. Paxton also serves as chairman and chief executive officer of integrated packing solutions provider Pro Mach Inc. and as chairman of Mobilisa, a provider of wireless Internet solutions to the U.S. Department of Defense.
"I am pleased to lend my experience to Force Protection," Paxton said in a statement. "The company has incredibly important products and technology and an excellent opportunity to grow and expand its business. I believe that my skill set and background will enable me to be of significant assistance to the Company. As a member of the board of directors, I am excited at the opportunity to contribute to Force Protection's strategic and corporate development and to help ensure that the interests of its shareholders are well served."
Paxton bring more than 30 years of senior management experience to Force Protection, a developer of anti-ballistic and blast-protected MRAP vehicles deployed by the U.S. military in Iraq and Afghanistan.
