Stanley to support Marine Corps recruiting

ARLINGTON, Va., Sept. 20 (UPI) -- The U.S. Marine Corps has contracted Virginia-based Stanley Inc. for network operations support to the Marine Corps Recruiting Command.

Stanley is an information technology provider for U.S. defense and federal civilian government agencies. The company supports government mission-essential needs in any stage of a program including product development or through the business lifecycle.

Under the $8 million contract, Stanley will provide network operations support by maintaining network infrastructure, provide call center and help-desk support among other tasks in an effort to enhance the MCRC enterprise.

"We are excited to support a new customer, the Marine Corps Recruiting Command, in their mission to identify and select those who will carry on the honor and traditions of being a U.S. Marine," said Jim Brabston, vice president of defense systems for Stanley, in a statement. "We look forward to building on our more than 18 years of experience in supporting the Marine Corps, while leveraging our portfolio of IT infrastructure services for MCRC."

Headquartered in Quantico, Va., the MCRC is the recruiting arm of the U.S. Marines.
