Muasher commented that the three suspects entered Jordan from Iraq on Aug. 6 in a Mercedes whose fuel tank had been modified to accommodate seven Katyusha rockets that were used in the attacks earlier this month.

Jordanian Interior Minister Awni Yerfas intends to raise the Aqaba bombing issue about the three suspects who came from and fled to Iraq with his Iraqi counterpart.

Jordan said that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the leader of one of the most violent insurgent groups in Iraq, was linked to the rocket attacks. One rocket narrowly missed a U.S. warship, another hit a hospital while a third landed in Israel.

Muasher also commented on the draft Iraqi constitution, which Jordan sees as important for stabilizing the country and improving security. Muasher said, "The draft constitution is an internal Iraqi issue, but what is of particular interest to us in Jordan is to see the document enjoy the largest national concord. Such harmony will boost the unity and cohesion of the Iraqi people and help the emergence of a stable Iraq."
