Top generals press case for V-22

WASHINGTON, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Marine Corps Commandant Gen. James L. Jones and U.S. Special Operations Command chief Gen. Charles Holland were pressing the case for the beleaguered V-22 Osprey aircraft on Capitol Hill Wednesday. Marine Corps officials say the transport aircraft, grounded after two fatal crashes last year that killed 23, can be repaired for operations by February or March and could be used in the war on terrorism.
