LOS ANGELES, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Grey's Anatomy star Caterina Scorsone is expecting baby No. 2.

"We're very, very excited," Scorsone told Entertainment Tonight at the event. "It'll be challenging [with Grey's]. It's going to happen somewhere during the shooting season [for Season 13]."

"I don't think [the pregnancy will be written in]," the actress, who plays Amelia Shepherd, added. "We're picking up the season immediately after we left off, which was the wedding where Amelia was not pregnant."

Scorsone and Giles, a member of the rock band The Rescues, married in the actress' hometown of Toronto, Canada, in 2009. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Eliza, in 2012.

"We couldn't be more in love with her and are overflowing with gratitude for this beautiful miracle," the pair told People after their daughter's birth.

Scorsone, who also played Amelia on Private Practice, was made a series regular on Grey's Anatomy in Season 11. The long-running medical drama will return Sept. 22 on ABC.
