Cobham gets $18 million electronic warfare order

Work for unidentified defense firm includes radio frequency microelectronics and antenna assemblies.

WASHINGTON, June 6 (UPI) -- Cobham has received $18 million in orders from an unidentified defense firm in support of an airborne electronic warfare program, the company announced Monday.

The contract involves radio frequency microelectronics and antenna assemblies.

The work will be performed at the Pennsylvania and California locations of Cobham Advanced Electronics Solutions.

"Our microelectronic components and assemblies enable EW system sensitivity while our strong antenna expertise helps the warfighter communicate, maintain situational awareness and stay safe," Cobham Advanced Electronics Solutions President Jill Kale said in a statement.

Cobham's advance electronic division provide electronic attack, electronic protection and electronic warfare support capabilities for land, sea and air operations.

The company's electronic warfare offerings include microelectronic components, integrated assemblies modules and subsystems and antenna and jammer solutions, among others.
