WASHINGTON, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has given General Dynamics a $74 million contract modification for new U.S. and U.K. fire and attack weapon control system procurements.
The contract modification supports the U.S. Navy's Ohio Replacement Submarine program and the United Kingdom's Successor Common Missile Compartment program. Under the program, the U.S. Navy is developing a nuclear submarine to replace the Trident-armed Ohio-class submarines currently in service.
