WASHINGTON, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Northrop Grumman has been awarded a maximum $99.9 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price contract to deliver KGV-72 Type-1 Programmable Inline Encryption Devices.
The systems will be used to process classified messaging traffic encryption through the Joint Battle Command-Platform, which provides platform interoperability to the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps to increase situational awareness in joint battlespace. The Harris Corporation KGV-72 is compatible with both existing and future Blue Force Tracking system terminals and transceivers, which track friendly forces, and will be installed by Northrop Grumman.
