The new contract was ratified March 2 and is now in effect.

"We're pleased that the IAM members ratified this new contract, which provides a fair economic package for our workforce, and positions Lockheed Martin to remain successful in a challenging environment," said Lockheed's Craig Weller, vice president of Corporate Labor Relations. "This agreement rewards our employees and allows them to continue their critical work on programs vital to our nation's security."

IAM workers covered under the new agreement are in Palmdale, Calif., Marietta, Ga., Sunnyvale, Calif., and other locations. Their work is performed for the F-35, F-22 and ADP Programs; U-2, C-130 and C-5 programs; and for space system projects.
