ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 29 (UPI) -- A 10-year, $59 million U.S. Air Force IT support contract has been given to OnPoint Consulting Inc. for the service's District of Washington headquarters.
The headquarters, located at Andrews Air Force Base, Md., is the Air Force component for the National Capital Region under Joint Force Headquarters-National Capital Region Command.
Under the award, OnPoint will support AF National Capital Region government staff in maintaining architectural, technical and procedural data and products. The work includes preparing and maintaining documentation and reports to support AFNCR compliance with applicable laws and regulations, improving energy efficiency, reducing emissions and supporting civil engineering efforts.
OnPoint will also work on requirements, objectives and policies and processes to develop, implement and maintain the AFNCR Information Assurance Program.
"We are excited to apply our expertise in cyber-security, infrastructure services and enterprise systems to support AFDW under the AFNCR contract," said Michael Agrillo, executive vice president of OnPoint.
The company, a technology consulting firm, said its subcontractors for work under the contract are Hewlett-Packard and Datum Software.
