Camgian said that under the contract it will collaborate with SRI International and SENTEL Corp. to advance its technology, which the Army plans to integrate into its standard ground station. The standard ground station integrates multiple sensor and video feeds for use in command-and-control operations.

"We are grateful for DOD's support and look forward to delivering a highly-innovative sensor platform that will enhance the situational awareness of our service men and women in combat," said Dr. Gary Butler, chairman and chief executive officer of Camgian.

Details on Camgian's networked sensor technologies were not provided.
