ASRC Federal Services to support Missile Defense Agency

GREENBELT, Md., Oct. 29 (UPI) -- The U.S. Missile Defense Agency has selected ASRC Federal Analytical Services Inc. to provide it with test product data management services.

The services to be provided under the Missile Defense Data Center contract include data center operations; support of test design, planning and products; and analysis infrastructure operations for the U.S. ballistic missile defense system.

Test data management and data analysis lab infrastructure, test data transfer network connections, and distributed operations systems and servers are also covered by the contract, the company said.

"It is an honor and privilege to accept responsibility for helping operate this key national asset that supports the warfighter in defending our nation and our allies against the growing missile defense threat," said Paul Dillahay, ASRC Federal president and chief executive officer. "Through this contract, ASRC Federal is committed to provide continuity to our MDA customer for the next decade."

The contract takes effect in January. It has a five-year base performance period plus five one-year options. The contract's maximum value is about $450 million.
