SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- URS Corporation has been included on two U.S. Navy contracts -- for business and force support and for cybersecurity -- the company said.
Each contract has a one-year base period with four one-year options. The aggregate value of each contract for all awardees is $899 million.
The company said under the first contract, on which URS is one of 15 awardees, it will provide business and force support services to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SSC Atlantic) and the second contract is for network and cybersecurity support.
In addition to the two prime contracts, URS was selected as a teaming partner on 10 small-business pillar contracts "designed to align the services provided by awardees with SSC Atlantic's specific technological functions."
"We are proud to have been awarded these two prime vehicle contracts and the pillar sub-contract awards," said Randall A. Wotring, president of federal services for URS. "These awards further expand the critical services that URS provides to the Navy. We look forward to supporting SSC Atlantic as it operates, secures, and defends networks and data as part of the warfighter's mission."
