Meggit to demo firearms training systems

MONTREAL, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Meggit Training Systems Canada says it is demonstrating a full range of firearms training systems at a major police conference in Canada this month.

Among the systems to be demonstrated are its FATS L7 firearms training system and BlueFire, an innovative wireless weapons simulator and live-fire Range training solutions.

"Meggitt works diligently to stay ahead of the industry," said Peter Longstaff, president of Meggitt Training Systems in Quebec. "To ensure effective product enhancements, our live fire and virtual training systems are designed in partnership with our customers to guarantee the systems fulfill existing and future training needs."

Meggit said the demonstrations will take place at the 118th annual Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba, which begins Aug. 18.

FATS L7 is a portable simulation training system operated through a compact touch-basic and advanced marksmanship training and shoot/don't shoot simulations. It can be used for simultaneous group training as well as individual training.
