MCLEAN, Va., July 22 (UPI) -- The U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency has selected SAIC to provide production, testing and technical services for combatant commands.
The task order contract is a single-award, cost-plus-fixed-fee vehicle with a base performance period of one year, with three one-year options. Its value is worth a total of $38 million if all options are exercised.
Science Applications International Corp. said it will provide technical services under the award, including security engineering, functional and performance testing of Global Command and Control Systems-Joint production releases and components, as well as configuration management of production releases.
GCCS-J service offers connectivity to systems used to plan, execute and manage military operations for both joint and multinational operations. Additional details, however, were not provided.
"We look forward to supporting future GCCS-J releases, as they provide interoperable C2 and intelligence functions that satisfy emerging operational needs of our warfighter community," said John Fratamico, SAIC senior vice president and group general manager.
