Lockheed wins place on SPAWAR IDIQ contract

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 (UPI) -- The U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic has added Lockheed Martin to its roll of prime contractors for business and force support work.

As a prime contractor on the multiple-award award, Lockheed Martin is eligible to provide SPAWAR with technical services associated with full-system lifecycle support of computers and combat systems that contribute to battle, business and intelligence activities.

The contract is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity vehicle with a cumulative value of $900 million.

Lockheed Martin is one of 15 awardees. The length of the IDIQ contract was not disclosed.

"This IDIQ contract win allows Lockheed Martin to offer industry leading support that serves the needs of the warfighter and U.S. Military global operations," said Willie Callahan, vice president of Data, Analytics and Services with Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions. "The services under this contract will help the Navy achieve its mission needs of maximizing productivity, efficiency and security."
