On May 31, BAE Systems of Britain announced it has teamed with PDH to win a contract to supply Poland's military with new armored vehicles.

"Previous actions undertaken by the Council of Ministers in the last 10 years and also by the companies themselves have been heading for this stage, which is the establishment of one national entity," PDH said. "Merging companies of Polish defense industry -- both large and small -- jointly form one family, one Polish brand."

PDH, in its announcement, called itself "the future of modern defense industry" and an important step toward Poland having an important position in Europe's defense industry system.

"I consider placing necessities of the main client -- Poland's Ministry of National Defense -- together with a declaration to focus on developing the latest technologies in the center of interests of Polish Defense Holding as a guarantee of obtaining a very good offer for the armed forces of the Republic of Poland and directing it to foreign markets," said Krzysztof Krystowski, PDH's chief executive officer.
