ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 8 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has given CACI International a $53 million follow-on contract for acquisition and lifecycle support.
The support is specifically for the Naval Sea Systems Command's for the Expeditionary Warfare and Maritime Surveillance Program Offices, which maintains fleet vessels and their combat systems.
The contract -- for six months, with two six-month options -- continues CACI's provision of acquisition and lifecycle support, data management, financial management and technical support for equipment and missions such as explosive ordnance disposal; Joint Counter Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare; anti-terrorism, maritime surveillance and Special Warfare.
"The Naval Sea Systems Command has been a valued CACI client since 1974 and we have an in-depth familiarity with their mission and processes," said John Mengucci, CACI chief operating officer and president of U.S. Operations. "On this follow-on contract supporting the Expeditionary Warfare and Maritime Surveillance Programs, we continue to provide a strong team that assures the Navy of cost savings and increased productivity in their acquisition processes."
