Navy taps Northrop for training support

HERNDON, Va., May 8 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has contracted Northrop Grumman to support its advanced training of personnel through computer-based modeling and simulation.

The company's work, in support of the Naval Education Training Command, will be provided through a three-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award. The award carries a value of $84 million.

Under the contract, Northrop Grumman will plan and assess training needs and program, develop curriculum and provide the computer-based solutions. It will also provide staff support and program management for the Navy.

Additional details on the training programs were not disclosed.
