CACI tapped for management support

ARLINGTON, Va., March 9 (UPI) -- CACI reports it has been contracted to help the U.S. Air Force replace legacy systems for the management of the service's infrastructure.

The contract for integration, sustainment, and deployment services in support of the U.S. Air Force Office of the Civil Engineer's NexGen IT program, has a one-year base performance period with four one-year options. Its value is $78 million.

"CACI's selection for the NexGen IT contract with the Air Force Office of the Civil Engineer increases our momentum in delivering systems integration and transformation support for Air Force infrastructures," said Dan Allen, CACI president of U.S. Operations.

"Our mission-critical work will provide Air Force civil engineers with the systems and information they need to best meet their strategic priorities."

The Air Force Office of the Civil Engineer ensures that Air Force buildings, structures, and utilities are properly maintained. Its NexGen IT enterprise transformation program aims to deliver improved CE productivity and better management of resources.

CACI has been providing the office with support since 2006 and has integrated and deployed several types of information systems to more than 160 Air Force sites.

The company said that under the contract, which was awarded by the U.S. General Services Administration, it will continue help the modernization of CE systems in 15 areas, including real estate and housing management.
