AECOM servicing military helicopters

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Field helicopter maintenance support teams for U.S. Army Reserve units are being provided by AECOM Technology Corp.

AECOM said that under a new three-year task order contract AH-64, CH-47, UH-60 and HH-60 aircraft at nine locations in the country will receive field and sustainment maintenance from 95 of its field technicians.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity task order is worth as much as $16.5 million.

The task order is the result of an earlier contract from the U.S. Air Force, which has given the company $370 million for contract field teams. That contract has an overall value of more than $10 billion for contract field teams and services through 2015, California's AECOM said.

In addition to aircraft maintenance, the overall contract procures contract field teams to conduct major and minor inspections, maintenance, modifications and repairs of aircraft and associated ground vehicles and equipment at U.S. government locations around the world.
