FORT WORTH, Texas, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- The U.S. subsidiary of Israel's Elbit Systems Ltd. has bought shares held by General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products in a UAS manufacturing company.
The General Dynamics shares were in UAS Dynamics LLC of North Carolina, a joint venture with Elbit Systems of America that was established in 2009.
UAS Dynamics becomes part of Elbit Systems of America's Unmanned Systems business unit, which focuses on both airborne and sea-borne unmanned systems.
"The integration of UAS Dynamics with Elbit Systems of America's Unmanned Systems business unit will enable us to pursue opportunities associated with unmanned technologies and capabilities across multiple domains and we will continue to look for opportunities to provide the U.S. warfighters with innovative solutions that meet their diverse mission needs," said Raanan Horowitz, president and chief executive officer of Elbit Systems of America.
