HERNDON, Va., June 3 (UPI) -- Raytheon IDS has given its Supplier Excellence Award to LGS Innovations of Virginia for its Ethernet/LAN switching and routing products and services.
Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems said the award was presented in appreciation of the company's on-time delivery measures, sustained performance on quality and commitment to continuous process and quality improvement.
LGS's OmniSwitch family of products is used by Raytheon to support critical U.S. Navy shipboard networks.
"Our communications products and services help the U.S. Navy address its most stringent mission-critical networking requirements," said Ronald Iverson, chief executive officer of LGS Innovations.

The OmniSwitch family of products addresses the U.S. Navy's need for secured and highly available voice, video and data communications, bringing advantages in terms of cost reduction, network security, availability and manageability.
Raytheon IDS Supplier Excellence candidates meet the following criteria: one year of activity with a minimum performance of 97 percent quality and delivery as measured by the Supplier Rating System and have an acceptable Quality Management System.
