Air Force selects TASC for support

CHANTILLY, Va., Feb. 28 (UPI) -- TASC Inc. of Virginia has been chosen by the U.S. Air Force to support its Space and Missile Systems Center's Development Planning Directorate.

Under the award for the directorate's Concept Development Division -- known as XRD -- an industry team led by TASC will provide modeling simulation and analysis, war game simulation and program management and integration in support of 10 functional areas.

"XRD is responsible for almost every aspect of planning for future space and missile systems, from conducting engineering studies to designing the strategy that ensures the right technology investment and development," says Pat Talty, senior vice president of Mission Engineering at TASC. "We are proud the Air Force selected TASC to help drive the planning and engineering necessary to solve the complex problems of today and tomorrow.

"We look forward to supporting their efforts to apply new capabilities quickly and affordably."

The contract is for one year and is worth $9 million.

TASC's partners on this contract are Integrity Applications Inc., MCR Federal, ManTech International, A2 Consulting and Element Consulting Group.
