CAMBRIDGE, England, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Lockheed Martin C-130 aircraft operated by NATO countries will continue to receive maintenance support from Britain's Marshall Aerospace.

The company said it received a three-year renewal of an existing contract from the NATO Maintenance & Supply Agency for a full range of C-130 maintenance activities in support of the U.S. Air Force.

"Like NAMSA, it is Marshall Aerospace's aim to ensure that customers receive the best logistics support available to guarantee the operational readiness of their C-130 aircraft -- an aircraft which is greatly relied upon by the armed forces and for which the company has expertly maintained and modified for over four decades," said Grahame Nix, chief operating officer for Marshall Aerospace.

"This contract will see new members of the C-130 community benefitting from Marshall's broad experience and we are proud to build upon our relationship with NAMSA and the United States Air Force."

Marshall said that, under this contract, it expects up to 10 aircraft inputs a year from C-130 fleets operated by any of the 28 NATO member states.

The first aircraft is expected to arrive at Marshall's facility in Cambridge during the first quarter of this year.
