Order given for 20mm ammunition

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Alliant Techsystems of Minnesota has received a second contract option from the U.S. Army for multiple variants of 20mm PGU ammunition.

The company said the original contract with the U.S. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island Contracting Center, in Illinois was signed in 2008. If all options under it were exercised, the agreement would be worth more than $170 million by 2013.
