Kratos contracted to support UAV programs

SAN DIEGO, March 22 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force selected Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc. to support unmanned aerial vehicle programs at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

U.S. company Kratos says its Madison Research Division in Alabama received the task order as part of the Consolidated Acquisition of Professional Services indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract vehicle.

Under the $1.8 million deal, Kratos and contract partner Booz Allen Hamilton will provide management and other support requirements for the acquisition of the Predator and Reaper UAV systems.

"We are very proud to receive this award and are grateful to our customers, who continue to demonstrate their trust and confidence in our CAPS Team," said Jennifer Price, Kratos Madison Research Division senior vice president, said in a statement.
