Lockheed Martin delivers trainer tech

ORLANDO, Fla., March 10 (UPI) -- Lockheed Martin marked a milestone supporting a British air force program following the successful delivery of its Hawk-T Mk 2 Flight Training Device.

U.S. company Lockheed Martin delivered its Hawk-T Mk 2 to Accent, a joint venture with British company VT Group. Officials say the Hawk-T Mk 2 was delivered to Accent to support the British air force's Military Flying Training System.

The delivery is the first of five from Lockheed Martin's Simulation, Training and Support unit and is part of Ascent's Advanced Jet Training program.

"The delivery of this simulator is a key milestone for AJT and demonstrates our commitment to the success of the United Kingdom's Military Flying Training System program" Jim Weitzel, Lockheed Martin Simulation, Training and Support Flight Solutions vice president, said in a statement.
