TEWKSBURY, Mass., June 27 (UPI) -- Massachusetts-based Raytheon has launched its tactical display framework military situational awareness technology with a three-dimensional extension.

Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems subsidiary Raytheon Solipsys announced the release of the three-dimensional extension for the tactical display framework that officials say enhances the software with a three-dimensional display of tracks, history, sensors, overlays, pairing lines and imagery.

Raytheon's TDF, deployed for programs with the U.S. Air Force, Central Command, Navy and Army, is a real-time visualization tool used for defense, surveillance and air traffic management.

"TDF 3D provides the user with powerful controls to navigate the 3-D view of the battle space," Mark Trenor, Raytheon Solipsys president, said in a statement.

"With TDF 3D, the operator can offset, slide and fly through the view, orbit the area of interest, zoom, and auto track objects."
