MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Retail chain Target announced at an even Tuesday that Lilly Pulitzer would be the next designer to partner with the company for a capsule collection.
The news was revealed during a pool party at New York City's Four Seasons Hotel that featured samples of the 250 pieces that will be for sale by the retailer in the brand's famous vibrant colors.
Lilly Pulitzer was founded in 1959 by an American socialite of the same name and became famous for its colorful shift dresses. The brand has expanded its vibrant prints from elite clothing to home wear and accessories.
Products from the brand's collection for Target will range in price from $2 to $150. An Instagram page titled LillyforTarget has shared several images of the products since the announcement was made.
The images mainly feature colorful beach wear and home accessories with sparkling touches. The collection will be available for sale on April 16.
Previous designers to have collaborated with Target include Joseph Altuzarra, Phillip Lim, Jason Wu, Zac Posen and Isaac Mizrahi.
