ATLANTA, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- On Monday, less than a week after the Home Depot said they were investigating a "possible" data breach, the home improvement company confirms they were the latest victims of hackers.

In a statement, the company said the data breach could impact "any customer that has used their payment card at our U.S. and Canadian stores, from April forward." However, they said there does not appear to be "any evidence" that breach impacted stores in Mexico or customers who shopped on HomeDepot.com. They also said PIN numbers were not compromised.
