MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., April 23 (UPI) -- Google has updated the desktop version of Street View to allow users to look at images from older versions of Street View.
The new feature came about after Google saved older images of Japan before the tsunami hit in 2011 in order to have a record of the country before the destruction. The saving of old data was a departure for Google, which works at a feverish pace of updating and forgetting old data.
