WASHINGTON, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Managers scored higher than workers in a home-life and job satisfaction survey by the Pew Charitable Trust.
Among managers, 83 indicated they were "very satisfied" with their family life and 69 percent with their job. Forty percent expressed high satisfaction with their financial situation.
Among workers, the home-life satisfaction figure was 74 percent, 48 percent were satisfied with their job and 28 percent with their financial situation.
Managers and workers had similar views on religion, gender issues and work values, the survey, conducted Oct. 7-27 and released Thursday, concluded.
More managers identify themselves with the Republican Party and more workers with the Democratic Party and about the same percentage attend some form of religious event during weekends, researchers said.
Fifty four percent of both managers and workers said they believed men earned more than women for the same work.
Pew Research said the survey involved 2,002 respondents. The results carry a margin of error of plus or minus 3.3 to 3.6 percentage points.
