Britain's third quarter GDP growth confirmed at 0.8 percent

LONDON, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Britain's gross domestic product rose 0.8 percent in the third quarter over the second, the Office of National Statistics confirmed in its third GDP estimate.

The estimate pegs the country's economic growth at the fastest pace for the year. The GDP rose 0.4 percent in the first quarter and 0.7 percent in the second.
