Zulily recalls Deezo hoodies

WASHINGTON, May 16 (UPI) -- Seattle firm Zulily Inc. is recalling 560 children's hooded sweatshirts with drawstrings that pose a strangulation hazard, a federal watchdog agency said.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the drawstrings violate a federal regulation on clothing safety.

Children can get tangled in the neckline or waist drawstrings, the regulator said.

The recall involves Deezo brand boys', girls' and toddlers' zip-up hoodies with various designs, such as a heart with an arrow, a flower and a guitar. They were sold in pink with white or black trim, white with pink or green trim, blue with light blue and white trim, and black with blue or green trim.

They were sold by Zulily.com from August 2012 through March 2013 for $20 to $50.

Consumers were advised to take the clothing away from children and contact Zulily to receive a return address label and instructions on how to return the hoodies for a refund.

Consumers can call 877-779-5615 for information.
