CHICAGO, May 14 (UPI) -- Grain futures closed mostly lower on the Chicago Board of Trade Monday with the dollar index up 0.39 percent to 80.61 on the International Exchange.
Corn was unchanged to up 3 1/4, soybeans were off 14 to off 24, wheat was off 1/4 to up 5 and oats were off 2 1/2 to off 3 1/2.
Corn was slightly higher as corn plantings remain ahead of expectations with 86 percent of the crop acreage planted. Wheat prices were mixed with export inspections at 28 million bushels for the week, well above expectations. Soybean futures dropped significantly with talk circulating that planting will exceed early predictions.

Soybeans: May 13.90 off 14, Jly 13.87 off 19, Aug 13.72 3/4 off 20 3/4, Sep 13.26 3/4 off 24.
Wheat: May 5.97 3/4 up 5, Jly 5.98 1/4 up 1 1/4, Sep 6.12 3/4 up 1, Dec 6.35 1/4 off 1/4.
Oats: May 3.29 1/2 off 2 1/2, Jly 3.28 off 3 1/2, Sep 3.33 off 3 1/4, Dec 3.37 1/2 off 3 1/4.
