NEW YORK, May 2 (UPI) -- The price of crude oil in New York held near $105 per barrel, as unemployment in the eurozone rose to 10.9 percent, a record for the currency region.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, West Texas Intermediate crude oil for June delivery peaked at $105.42 per barrel before settling slightly lower at $105.36.

Natural gas added 0.2 cents to $2.55 per million British thermal units.
Home heating oil gained 0.47 cents to $3.1472 per gallon.
Reformulated blendstock gasoline rose by 0.83 cents to $3.084 per gallon.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline dropped to $3.803 per gallon from Tuesday's $3.809, AAA said.
