The Malibu, which is currently built in Fairfax, Kan., is sold in nearly 100 countries. By mid-year, GM plans to assemble the car at the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant as well, the News said.

The 2013 Malibu is expected to get 37 miles per gallon. Its suggested retail price starts at $25,995, GM said.
