Crude oil ends week down

NEW YORK, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- The price for a barrel of crude oil closed down Friday on the New York Mercantile Exchange, settling at $101.56, off 25 cents.

Gasoline added 2 cents to settle at $2.75 a gallon.

Home heating oil picked up 3 cents to end the session at $3.07 a gallon.

Natural gas closed at $3.06 per million British thermal units, up 8 cents.

At the retail level, the national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline rose to $3.352 per gallon from Thursday's $3.319, AAA said.
