NEW YORK, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- An early crude oil run toward $100 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange faded by Monday afternoon, splitting from a stock markets rally that held.
Equities soared early on Wall Street and stayed strong though the trading session. January light sweet crude opened at $97.50 a barrel and followed suit, climbing to $100.74 only to fall back to $97.56 in afternoon trading.
