Crude oil slips Thursday

NEW YORK, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices slipped, falling under $89 per barrel after a strong rebound in equity markets Wednesday failed to carry through to Thursday.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, West Texas Intermediate crude oil prices shed 44 cents to $88.61 per barrel. Home heating oil prices lost 0.26 cents to $3.0417 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline prices lost 1.35 cents to $2.8717 per gallon.

Henry Hub natural gas prices added 0.1 cents to $3.981 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline dropped slightly from Wednesday's $3.657 per gallon to $3.655, AAA said.
