Grain futures lower Friday

CHICAGO, June 24 (UPI) -- Grain futures were mostly lower on the Chicago Board of Trade, pressured by a weak dollar and energy markets.

Corn was off 10 1/2 to off 13 1/2, soybeans were up 2 1/2 to off 8, wheat was off 8 1/4 to off 13 1/4 and oats were off 13 1/4 to off 14 1/4.

A falling dollar and weak energy markets coupled with fund selling weighed on corn and soybeans. The inability to confirm rumors of China buying also provided negative pressure on corn while soybean traders shrugged off forecasts for hot, dry weather next week. Wheat suffered from ideas Thursday's recovery was overdone.
