Crude oil settles near $100

LONDON, June 10 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices settled early Friday but held above $100 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Signs of increasing demand are more scarce recently, with manufacturing having slowed in the United States and in China.

July delivery crude lost $1.58 to $100.35 per barrel. Home heating oil lost 1.03 cents to $3.1275 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline shed 1.76 cents to $3.0222 per gallon. Henry Hub natural gas prices gained 3.2 cents to $4.706 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline fell to $3.723 per gallon from Thursday's $3.734, AAA said.
