NEW YORK, April 28 (UPI) -- Gold prices jumped to a record $1,536 Thursday on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, adding $19.10 or 1.2 percent.
Gold climbed as the dollar index fell 0.66 percent. Traders may still be reacting to the U.S. Federal Reserve's decision Wednesday to leave the federal fund rate intact, which was seen as a hesitation to deal with rising prices.
