ATLANTA, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- U.S. retail giant Home Depot said spring was the new Christmas as far as hiring, as it planned to add 60,000 workers to its payroll to handle the spring rush.

"Spring is our Christmas and (customer) traffic is at its highest during this season," said Craig Menear, the retailer's executive vice president for merchandising, CNNMoney reported Tuesday.
