WASHINGTON, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Los Angeles firm Splendid is recalling about 900 girl's hooded zip jackets and vest sets due to a strangulation hazard, a federal safety commission said.
The jackets and vests have drawstrings through the hood, which pose a risk to children, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a statement.
The jacket and vest sets were sold nationwide from April 2010 through November 2010 for about $85.
The jackets were sold in camouflage, jasmine, parfait and royal. The vests were sold in black, caviar, denim, electric pink, macadamia, peacock, quartz and sapphire.
Consumers were advised to remove the drawstrings or contact Splendid for instructions on how to return the garments for a full refund.
