WASHINGTON, June 4 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of One Step Ahead animal crackers stacking toys due to a choking hazard.

About 2,700 Animal Crackers Giant Stacking Toys were imported from China by One Step Ahead of Lake Bluff, Ill., and sold nationwide from October 2008 through April 2010 for about $35.

The toys are soft, cloth-covered foam animal shapes that are stacked on a pole mounted on a base shaped like a turtle.

The rings for the toy make different sounds, including a rattle, a jingle or a squeak.

The company has received one report of an infant mouthing the toy's foam material, the commission said.

No injuries have been reported.

Consumers were advised to take the toy away from children and return them to the retailer for a $50 gift certificate.

Consumers can call 866-271-4536 for information.
