SACRAMENTO, March 17 (UPI) -- Wells Fargo said merging two of its Sacramento call centers would result in the loss of 415 jobs.

Employees were told that the bank's small business and consumer call centers would be consolidated, the Sacramento Bee reported Wednesday.

Company spokeswoman Julie Campbell said Wells Fargo would try to relocate workers to other positions in the bank.

"When positions become available, we will look internally" to fill the jobs, she said.

It is the second blow to call-center employees since December in Sacramento.

AT&T told 250 call-center employees in December to move across the state within two months or lose their jobs, the Bee reported.
